Mrs. Farzana Yaqoob, Minister of Social Welfare and Women’s Development Government of AJK and Mr. Ershad Mahmud, Executive Director Centre for Peace, Development and Reforms (CPDR) jointly hosted an interactive session with noted historian Dr. Christopher Snedden about the history of Kashmir, its evolution, human rights situation in today’s Kashmir and upcoming elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
A number of young researchers and activists participated in the event and asked questions and made interesting comments. Christopher appreciated young people’s deep interest in the history of Kashmir and suggested that sustained research projects should be initiated to explore the unexplored areas.
