AJK Civil Society Sought Restructuring of Muzaffarabad-Islamabad Constitutional Relationship

Centre for Peace, Development and Reform (CPDR) held 3rd round of dialogue on its report titled “An Appraisal of Constitutional, Financial and Administrative Arrangements between the Governments of Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir” with the representatives of civil society in Muzaffarabad division on April 30, 2012 at 4 pm. A cross section of the society expressed their views in the meeting including member assembly and former minister.

A journey through River Vitasta

This is the first documentary film to be shot on both sides of the Line of Control (LoC).

Making the film was a significant success in itself as the two journalists who produced it – Mohammad Arif Urfi and Pawan Bali – are from either side of the LoC in Kashmir and were not able to meet in their home region. In the final two minutes of the film they talk about their own experience of working together across the divide. Click Here

Survey on Cross-LoC Trade launched in Muzaffarabad

Marking the 7th anniversary of Cross LoC Bus Service by reflecting back to the April 2005, Centre for Peace Development & Reforms (CPDR) launched its recent publication titled “Peacebuilding and Economic Potential of Cross-LoC Trade” jointly produced by the Indus Research Foundation (IRF) and supported by Conciliation Resources London in Muzaffarabad. Besides, a recently produced documentary titled “A Journey Through River Vitasta” filmed by Mrs. Pawan Bali, journalist from Jammu and Mr. Muhammad Arif Urfi from Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir was also screened. This is the first documentary film to be shot on both sides of the Line of Control (LoC).
